RELIGION.

Religion was very important to the Victiorans.A great number of people went to church,at least once and probably twice every twince,every Sunday

• We went to a museum called national archeological museum.        

3rd grade learnt about  the Roman road. It had five layers. They built a little city made up of paper. They did  Roman mythology. 

They also did the senate. With this we finish with Romans. Thanks 3rd grade!!!

This week is the last one for the  1st graders to finish the History project. You can see the history museum
 Ibn Gabirol in the idea lab. This week they finished their bracelets and today they are going to make mummies, they are also recording videos of the kids explaining facts of the ancient Egypt. And made puzzle pyramids.

Christobal Colon was born in 1451.
He died 20th of May,1506 in Valladolid.
Buried in:  Catedral de Santa María de la Sede de Sevilla, Sevilla.
He had 2 children, their names were 

Diego Colon and Hernando Colon.

Like all primary, they went to the national archaeological museum.
These are some objects  that they saw.

4th grade went to the archaeological  national museum.They saw Middle Ages objects, like:coins,swards,knives and necropolis.Then they went to the Retiro park, They did  lots of activities.

Welcome to our blog here are some information of 6th grade did :



In the museum 6th grade visited the lady of elche . This sculture belongs to the art ibero people who inhsbited the iberian peninsulduring the 1st millenium BC.



Then they observed the greek pottery.


Third,they went to the attamira care.where they saw an exact replica of caves paintings.

4th grade is making models like,castles,feudalisim,cities,knights,food, music and games

3rd grade has study the roads

steps:
1 step dry sand
2 step roks
3 step cement
4 step sand and cement
5 step roks

They went to a  museum.

They saw mummies, sarcophagus and Canopic Jars.








They are going to make pharaoh headdress and bracalets.




They`ve learned some facts about Cleopatra ,who was the last pharaoh of the ancient Egypt.

This week 2nd grade is learning about different types of columns. These are:
Doric, Ionic and Corinthian. They will be making  Ionic columns , just like the ones in the Parthenon.

In contemporary ages the daily life was like this:

.   they ate bit of butter and  4 peices of  meat

460g of bread ,a litre of beer. In a special day they ate 7 peices of meat.
There were 16.000.000 of people in a workhouses


They burnt poor people's  doors to make fire.

One group of 4th grade is studying:weapons and tools.

Another group is studying:knights.

Another group is studying:castles.

Another group is studying:music and games.

Another group is studying:daily life.                                                                                                           Another group is studying:clothes,feast and food

        

This week 2nd grade learned about three different types of government:

Democracy-Monarchy and oligarchy. Also, they learned about the most important 

City-States in the ancient Greece and their own music.

A boy of 5th grade wrote a poem. This is his poem:
in 1492
Columbus sailed the ocean blue.

He had three ships and let them from Spain;
he sailed through sunshine, wind and rain.


He sailed by night; he sailed by day;
he used the stars to find his way.

A compass also helped him know.

This week 3rd grade finished the wreaths.
They started crating a senate. The senate is a group of 300 people, they thought about events, army and Romans.

They talked about holy animals in ancient Egypt.

Holy animals were cats ,snakes ,crocodiles ,eagles and beetles.

They painted a beetle  on their papyrus.

       

                                                           

  

 They finished coloring the map of Egypt

They are going to play an ancient egyptian game called Mehen

1st grade made sarcophagus.

 

They have started lapbooks and they read information about ancient egiptian games,they made papyrus they used gauze, coffee and paper.And they will draw  hierogyiphics. 

5th grade is doing  the modern ages about the Aztecs.
Christopher Colombus and Caravels. Which are the ships that they used in those ages.
 What the mayority of the class like most was the Aztecs because they were like Indios.

3rd is working on the Roman Republic. They are going  to create  wreaths. Roman emperors wore wreaths like these made from laurel leaves. This showed everyones how important they were, because laurel leaves were a symbol of power or victory.

Now 4th graders are writing information of what all the classes of primary are studying

2nd grade learnt about the ancient olympics.
It was a race. They ran naked

4th grade learnt about important things that happened in Middle Ages such as: Black Death, Silk Road, Castles and Feudal System.

Like all the other classes, 5th grade has seen a movie related to modern ages .
They have seen Road to el Dorado.
They have seen that movie  because they are studying the discovering of America which was the begining of modern ages.
They have  learnt that in America people were different, people had different clothes, houses, shops ...

4th grade is studying the Middle Ages.

We started the project watching a movie called Quest for Camelot.

Hi, 6th grade is studying the Contemporary ages 

They are going to watch:

Oliver twist

The film is about a child who lived during Victorian Times and the teachers hope the kids will learn about what life was like in the past ,how victorian people lived what schools and jobs were like back then . They will also find out about inportant inventions.

3º grade watched  a film for them to know more things of the Romans, the film was Asterix and Obelix and the 12 tasks.

1st grade is studying ancient Egypt.





To start the project they watched this movie:

They started the project watching the movie Hercules.
